Adopt A Wolf

Contrary to the myth that wolves are vicious predators, they are actually timid, even likable creatures. Some species of wolf are endangered. Adopt-a-wolf programs receive money used to preserve these animals. While it is likely illegal in most states to physically adopt a wolf, you can help save these creatures by following these steps.

Instructions

1. Decide how much you can donate to an adopt-a-wolf program. Some adoptions can be made for as little as $35; others can range as high as $300.

2. Choose the type of wolf you wish to adopt. It depends on whether you're partial to wolf pups or adult wolves. Some websites offer pictures of wolves.

3. Visit the wolf, if the adopt-a-wolf program allows you to do so. Wolf Park, for instance, arranges trips so people can observe wolves. You must meet all its requirements for visitation before registering for this program.

4. Involve others and offer a group adoption. Perhaps you could adopt more than one wolf, or sign up for one of the more expensive programs.

5. Renew every year. You receive a notice close to the time that your adoption expires. Remember to renew so the adopt-a-wolf program keeps receiving your funds and protects this endangered species.
