Webkinz are stuffed animals that come with their own adoption identification code. When the code is put into the Webkinz system, the user has access to a virtual version of the same animal. The owner uses the virtual animal to chat with and play games against other owners and their virtual Webkinz pets. A new user has to create a user name and password to log in to the website, then get their pet's code into the system.
Instructions
1. Type in the web address for the Webkinz homepage (see link in resources).
2. Right-click on the "New Member" button. Select the option "I have a Pet Code."
3. Click on "Make a New Account." Read the agreement and click "OK." Select your country from the pull down menu and click "OK."
4. Read the user agreement. Click on the box saying that you accept the terms and agreement. Select "Next." Fill in your personal information and select "Next." Choose a user name you can easily remember and click "Next."
5. Choose a password. Type it into the two boxes provided. Enter the secret code located on the tag of the Webkinz and click "Next." You are now a member of the Webkinz website.
