Get More Donations For Everything

It takes a lot of teamwork, support, patience and a good heart to collect donations for organizations or a special cause. Without donations and commitment from people within communities, some government agencies, churches, and other causes wouldn't survive. With research, cold calling and a courageous heart, it is possible to collect just enough or even more donations for a charity to reach its goal. Read on to learn get more donations for everything.


Instructions


1. Call the local Chamber of Commerce for a list of area businesses and organizations in your town or city. Gather their telephone number, address, and main contact person.


2. Research the Yellow Pages for area businesses. Look through businesses such as restaurants, retail shops, beauty shops and more. Also browse through the area church index too. Write down all of the information you find from your research.


3. Type up an informational sheet explaining your cause or organization and why you are seeking donations. Explain what the donations will be used for, and what some of the future financial goals are for your organization.


4. Contact local business and organizations from your research and also from the Chamber of Commerce if a list was given. Explain your cause and find out when would be an appropriate time would be for you to speak with a manager, chairman or business owner.


5. Distribute flyers within your community in public areas such as grocery stores, laundry mats, libraries, schools and any other popular vicinity within the area.


6. Contact local newspapers and explain about your fundraiser. Submit a press release if one is available.


7. Email all of your friends and family members explaining that you are trying to raise money and get donations. Tell them to pass the word on to their friends and family.


8. Wait patiently for all of your hard work, and give your program plenty of moral support.
