Neopets Brain Tree Help

The most important thing to remember about Brain Tree quests is that no one can give you the answers to the questions the Brain Tree asks. They are randomized for each quest, and using someone else's answer is only a waste of time. That said, the Brain Tree quest is an experience every Neopian should have, even if the rewards aren't stunning. Remember, as with all quests, don't spend more than you can afford, since you are not guaranteed to get it back.

Brain Tree Quest

The Brain Tree is found in the Haunted Woods, and if you accept a quest from him he will ask you a question about a person who has died. He usually gives you a person's name, and asks you to find out where and when they died. For instance, he will ask you something like "Sian Meerca died a long time ago, and I need to know where, and when, for my records. You must go and find this information out. Return to me within 0 hours and 58 mins, and I shall give you a prize." There is a time limit on the quest, usually less than three hours.

Esophagor Quests

You must complete two Esophagor quests to get the answer to the Brain Tree's question. Consider the amount you are spending to get the items; sometimes they can be pricey, and your reward from the Brain Tree is usually worth around 2,000 to 3,000 neopoints. If they are more expensive than that, allow the quest to expire and try again later. The Esophagor is also located in the Haunted Woods. He will ask you for spooky food items, usually two, but as many as four. You can use the Shop Wizard to find the items, unlike faerie quests. Type the name of the item in the search box and search several times to get the cheapest one you can. For each food item you bring the Esophagor, he will give you part of the answer you need for the Brain Tree. These answers are random and change for each quest, so someone else's answers will not work for you; the only way to find your specific answer is to complete the Esophagor quests. Write down what he says; the Brain Tree wants exact spelling and capitalization.

Brain Tree Answer

When you return to the Brain Tree after feeding the Esophagor twice, he will give you a reward of spooky or battledome items and neopoints. This total usually does not exceed 5,000 NP, and is more commonly around 2,000 NP. You must type in the year of death and place of death exactly as the Esophagor gave them to you. For instance, you might type in 30 BN for the year and The Haunted Graveyard for the place. And, don't forget that you can only do one Brain Tree quest each day. Another side effect of completing this quest: you may get the Brain Tree as a battledome opponent.
