Designer dogs are the result of small dog breeders combining one or more different breeds of small dogs and creating a whole new breed. One breed of designer dog that is gaining popularity is called a Peekaboo. In addition to being small, cute, and cuddly, Peekaboo dogs are also hypoallergenic, making them the perfect dog for dog lovers that are allergic to dog hair.In addition to being hypoallergenic Peekaboo dogs are known for being loving, having laid back personality, and their small size (when mature, they are about 8-10 pounds)There are two ways you can get a Peekapoo puppy. You can either breed two Peekapoos, or you can breed a toy poodle to a Pekingese.
Instructions
1. Select two dogs that have mellow temperaments. Puppies' personalities are usually a combination of their parents' and their environment; therefore, bad tempered dogs should never be bred so that they can't pass on their negative traits to their pups.
2. Only breed your small dog if demonstrates the ideal conformation for its breed. The whole purpose of breeding is to improve the quality of the Peekapoo breed, and this means that dogs with glaring confirmation flaws, such as bowed legs, curved spines, and weak haunches, should not be bred. The best way to find out if your Pekingese or Poodle has good confirmation is to go to the AKC's website, read breed standards and look at pictures of the champions.
3. Prepare for the worst. Although most breeding stories have happy endings, occasionally there are complications. When you decide to breed your dog, you need to prepare yourself for the possibility that you could lose the puppies and your mama dog.
4. Save some money. Every dog breeder wants to believe that her dog will have a healthy and happy litter of puppies and that everything will go smoothly, but you still have to think of the risks before you breed your dog. If your dog needs a C-section (this is common in small breeds), can you afford the vet bill? What if the puppies get sick and need medical attention? Several dog breeders recommend setting aside $1000 just in case things go wrong.
5. Don't expect to sell all of your puppies. Unless you are able to come up with a list of people who want your puppies before they are even born, there is a chance that you won't be able to sell all of them. Are you prepared to have an entire family of dogs living in your home if no one wants to buy your hypoallergenic puppies?
