When you have an R4 DS flash cartridge, then you can use the software to perform multiple functions on your Nintendo DS. One of the perks of using an R4 DS is that you can add cheats to the micro SD card included with the R4 DS.
Instructions
1. Purchase the R4 DS. Before you find cheats for the R4 DS, you'll want to purchase and install the firmware. You can get a R4 DS from the Revolution for DS website.
2. Click on "Downloads" while on the Revolution for DS website. You're going to need to download the latest version of the Cheat Copy Editor. You can store your cheats in this support file.
3. Go to the main database while using the R4 DS on your handheld console. Look through the game titles to see if you can find cheats available for that title. If the title has cheats attached to it, then you're instructed to press the "Y" button.
4. Enter the setup of the R4 DS cheat. After you select "Y" for the title, then you can set up options for the cheat. For example, if you choose "game open/close" you'll have the ability to control the cheat switch of this game, the left frame will show the current status.
