Bake Sale
A bake sale is one of the most commonly used methods of fundraising because it is a fun, relatively low-cost way to earn a profit. Assign each member of your organization a specific batch of simple items like cookies or brownies to bake, and sell the treats in a high-traffic location.
Raffle
Raffles are another commonly used fundraising strategy. Solicit local businesses to donate relevant items to your cause; if you are a sports team, you might want to raffle off sports equipment or tickets to see an anticipated game. Hold your raffle at a high-traffic event. Sell chances to win. Announce the winner near the end of the event.
Silent Auction
This is a low-maintenance way of earning money for your cause. Solicit local businesses and services to donate items to auction off. Advertise the event well in advance, and encourage members of the community to bid on the donated items.
