Evolve Digimon In The "Digimon" Ds Game

Like the worldwide phenomenon Pokemon, Digimon focuses on raising and training small monsters until they evolve--or, in this game, "digivolve"--into larger and more fierce animals. The original Nintendo DS game, Digimon World, was released by Bandai in 2006, and its two sequels, Dawn and Dusk, were announced shortly thereafter. The evolution mechanicism is a staple in the series, with the first DS game setting the precedent.

Instructions

Leveling up and Evolving

1. Insert the Digimon World DS cartridge into your Nintendo DS and begin a new or continue an existing game.

2. Follow the on-screen instructions and introductory tutorial, if you are starting a new game. When you have the option to do so, return to your Digifarm.

3. Train your Digimon, raising its level and stats. Enter it into several battles in the various dungeon maps around the world. Dungeons unlocked later in the plot, carry more risk and more reward for your character. Battle different types of monsters in different areas to acquire a variety of experience.

4. Repeat until the Digimon reaches the level and stats required for its "digivolution." Each child Digimon has several forms it could digivolve into, which are dependent on its stats. For example, if you began with Koromon, raising him to Level 6 allows him to Digivolve into Agumon. However, if he grows to level 7 and acquires 30 Machine Experience, he can digivolve into ToyAgumon. If you've befriended a DotAgumon and train your Koromon to level 20, you can digivolve him into a DotAgumon.

5. Press Start, and open the Digimon's information screen. Select "Digivolution Route" and choose the higher form you want it to digivolve into. Press "X" and exit the Start menu.

6. Experiment with further evolutions by training your characters to different levels and statistic combinations.
