San Diego's moderate climate makes summer a great time to be outdoors.
Parents might remember the day camps of their youth with a bit of nostalgia. Back then, campers passed the hours making crafts out of pipe cleaners, or singing songs about John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt. But nowadays, families who spend their summers in San Diego can give their kids a variety of day camp experiences that take advantage of San Diego's mild summers---with nary a pipe cleaner in sight.
