"Moshi Monsters" lets you adopt and care for your own monster pet.
"Moshi Monsters" is an online game for kids. The object of the game is to adopt and care for a virtual pet monster while earning rewards to use as currency for items such as food, clothing and decorations. Players can choose one of six monsters to adopt and care for. Kids can also play games and interact with their little monsters. Moshi Monsters requires an account with a username and password to log in and play.
Instructions
1. Open your Internet browser and go to the Moshi Monsters homepage. Click on the button in top right corner labeled "Sign in/Adopt a monster."
2. Adopt a monster. You can choose from six different monsters. Katsuma is an orange rabbit-like monster with a personality similar to a cat. Poppet is a small pink monster that is very sweet and timid. Diavlos is a small red and black monster with a devilish personality. Zommer has a very ghoulish appearance, and is almost always male. Luvli is a small monster that resembles a cherry, and is almost always a female. Furi is a cuddly and furry monster that almost always has a smile on its face.
3. Customize your monster. Once you adopt a monster, you can color it any way you want. Choose your colors from the color blocks on the left.
4. Fill out the adoption papers. Enter the owner's name (your user ID), create a password, enter your age and email address. You will receive an email with a link to confirm your Moshi Monsters account. Check your email, click on the link, then log into your account with your user name and password.
5. Give your monster a name. You will then be taken into your monster's house. To start, you will be given 200 Rox (Moshi Monster currency) to spend. You will also have the basic wallpaper and flooring in your house, a green shelf, and one Roarberry Cheesecake to feed your monster.
6. Click the "Puzzles" button in your house to go to the Puzzle Palace. You can play games here to earn Rox so you can buy more items. You can choose either "Daily Challenge" or "Hall of Puzzles." The "Hall of Puzzles" gives you lots of games to choose from; just click on any title you want. "Daily Challenge" is a mixture of random questions from the "Hall of Puzzles." You can also earn Rox by going to Ooh La Lane and Main Street. Click on the door to leave your room, and a map will appear. Travel to Ooh La Lane or Main Street to play games. On Flutterby Field you can try to catch as many butterflies as you can, on Ice Scream you can serve customers ice cream and on Engen you can connect matching colors to earn currency.
7. Keep your monster happy by feeding it and tickling it. Each monster has a favorite food which earns more happiness points and keeps your monster happier longer. You can see what your monster's favorite food is by looking at the profile on the left hand side. You can use Rox to buy food at the Gross-ery Store for your monster.
8. Go shopping for new clothes for your monster pet. Go to Sludge Street on the map, and travel to the Marketplace. Go here to shop for clothing so you can customize your monster. Once you buy clothing, go to the Dress up Room on the map. This will show you all the clothing you have bought. Choose an item of clothing and drag it over to your monster to try it on.
9. Customize your room by buying new furniture. Travel to Main Street or Sludge Street and go shopping in Yukea, Bizarre Bazaar or the DIY shop. You can shop for furniture, decorations or new floor and wallpaper patterns. When you go back home, just click on the chest and you will see all of purchases. Pick any furniture or decoration you want to use in your room.
