Get A Job In An Emergency Animal Hospital

Get a Job in an Emergency Animal Hospital

If you would like to get a job in an emergency animal hospital, no doubt it's because you love animals. Although getting a job anywhere can be challenging at times, keep the following pointers in mind to increase the possibilities of being hired.

Instructions

1. Put down any experience you have caring for animals, even if it's your own pet. Describe how you have handled emergencies. List any jobs you've had at pet stores or animal clinics.

2. List your job history. Even if your past positions are in a different field, you may list the customer service experience, data entry, billing or any other clerical experience.

3. Talk about your love for animals when asked to describe yourself during the interview. This quality should help you get a job at an animal hospital.

4. Show up on time to the interview. Get to the hospital early so you have time to relax, at least five minutes before the appointment. Have two clean copies of your resume with you--one for yourself and the other for the interviewer in case he needs it.

5. Consider working at an animal clinic first if you're not accepted. After about 6 weeks, attempt to get a job at an animal hospital by applying at all the facilities in your area.
