If you are somebody who loves animals, you can find a career working with them. There are tons of jobs available that involve working with animals. Many jobs require some form of college experience and training. Other animal-related jobs do not require extensive knowledge. Regardless of the amount of training a person has, there is always work available that involves animals and wildlife.


Veterinarian


Veterinarians work hands-on with domestic pets of all species and are in charge of ensuring the ideal health of animals. To become a veterinarian, a person has to attend a university for up to eight years and earn a doctor of veterinarian medicine degree, or D.V.M .


Veterinarian's Assistant


To become a veterinarian assistant, you only need about two years of training. Veterinarian assistants help in laboratories and assist in surgeries and other related tasks in a veterinary office.


Grooming


Animal groomers can be found in almost any city, and many of them will hire assistants without any training. To become a certified groomer, however, you must attend a grooming school. Groomers ordinarily deal with dog breeds but many also groom and bathe domestic cats and livestock.


Shelters


If you are a teenager and you are looking for a summer job, then applying at an animal shelter is a great idea. To work in a kennel, you do not need any experience because kennel workers are in charge of feeding the animals and keeping the area clean. It is a small job but it gives you a chance to interact with animals without having to go through extensive training.


Aquariums


Local aquarium hobby stores often hire people to clean and stock their tanks regularly. This can be a laborious job, but it can also be a lot of rewarding entertainment for fish enthusiasts. Learning about aquariums and maintaining your own will make this kind of job easier to get.


Zoo


There are many employment opportunities at zoos. A couple of the jobs you can get in a zoo include zookeeper or custodian. Custodians do not ordinarily need indepth training, but zookeepers are required ti have a college education and experience in handling animals.


Ranches


Getting a job on a ranch is another great way to work with animals. Many ranches hire people locally to feed, water and interact with their livestock. Other jobs on ranches include mucking and husbandry. Mucking is when a person removes the waste and wet feed from the corrals of horses and other animals. Husbandry normally requires educational background and experience in breeding and raising livestock.
