Set Up A Webcam For Your Pets

Dogs, though adorable, are likely to get into trouble while you are away.

New pets are a lot of work, especially when you factor in the time needed to train them. When you first bring them home, leaving them alone is stressful, and you often wonder whether they've gotten themselves into trouble. Setting up a webcam is an easy way to keep an eye on your pet, even when you are not at home.

Instructions

1. Choose the best place to set up your webcam. This decision is made for you if you confine your pet to an area while you are away. If you allow you pet to roam around, choose the room where your pet is most likely to hang out.

2. Set up your webcam somewhere that will provide you with the most visibility. Make sure it is stable and your pet cannot reach it.

3. Download a software program that will allow you to watch the webcam feed through a laptop or smartphone.

4. Turn on the webcam and run a test viewing to make sure it is working properly. Make sure you are able to view the feed on your laptop or smartphone.

5. Turn on the webcam while you are away and watch your pet.
